I see Manual actually ended up not winning the defensive player of the year.
I hope that the prediction will at least be right about Nic Moore for POY.
Congrats to Markus and Yanick!

From the release:
Coach of the Year, Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year will be announced at the conference awards banquet on Thursday.
Maybe not too late for Ryan.

Last year I watched Shaq Goodwin literally throw a body block at the knees of an opposing player. Cannot believe he would get a sportsmanship award.
I can agree with Brimah. He is a shot blocking machine.

Not to mention the flagrant on Jalen Jones in Moody a couple of years ago.
That award totally came out of nowhere.

No joke. I feel like there has to be something we're missing...

I think it's more off the court stuff - so probably does some community outreach and smiles a lot.

LB will get COY but I could also see them give it to Frank Haith or Fran (big turnaround). MAYBE Larry Davis.

Just my opinion, but I think Haith deserves to get it this year.

Brown was without MK half a year, lost Martin and Frazier, and had an NCAA cloud over his head and won the conference and has the team in the top 20. How do you not justify him getting it? Haith beat up some lower rung teams and did what he did with someone else's players. No contest in my mind.

I agree.
Everybody already knew Temple was going to be a lot better this year as well.

Temple coach is the only one close in my opinion. He did have quite a turn around even with the new eligible transfers. That is what we did last year.

Fran Dunphy is a great coach, but if anything I feel like Temple under performed this season. I thought they'd be clearly the second best team in our conference.
There's obviously a good argument to be made for Brown, but I'm even more impressed by what Haith accomplished this year relative to expectations/talent. (I thought Larry deserved it last year.) I'd be
very happy to be wrong though.
