24 hours before AAC final and already UConn & SMU fans booing

HARTFORD, Conn. — Early arriving Connecticut fans paid respect to SMU as the Mustangs closed out Temple in Saturday’s first semifinal.
They serenaded point guard Nic Moore, the American Athletic Conference Player of the Year, with chants of “Over-rated.†Moore smiled and gave them a wave.
Then they booed the Mustangs as they left the XL Center court after their 69-56 victory.
A contingent of SMU fans, including the band, then booed the Huskies when they came out for warm-ups before playing Tulsa.
SMU and UConn will meet in Sunday’s title game at 2:15 p.m. (ESPN).
