With everyone saying how UCLA should not be in the tournament they will probably come into the tournament with a chip on their shoulder. SMU needs to be ready.

Thanks. I know LB will do his best to prepared the team not saying he will not. Just saying that because I do not think this will be a cakewalk like some may think. They only lost to Zona by 6 in their conference tournament.

True. Zona might have just taken them lightly and that might be the reason for the close score.

They have a guy who averages 45% from 3pt land from what I saw.
Bottom line: it sounds like we'll have our hands full with their starting 5 (they have a little bit of size, but their guards are big). But, can they take our second wave of bigs that come in? Again we just have to play our game - rock solid defense and attack the rim offensively.

And my guess is he hasn't been defended by the likes of Ryan. We'll see how he does against our best defender.

They jack up a ton of 3s.

So we'll have plenty of StallionsModelT b*tching is what you're saying.

Hopefully we'll have a chip on our shoulders too. I think we will play to show we belong in the tournament.

Good point. Now that we have overcome the "leave no doubt" chip on our shoulder we used as motivation all season, I hope LB and staff have another trick up their sleeve.

It's a shame this matchup isn't in one of the football arenas, because teams that rely on the 3 tend to struggle with sightlines in those arenas. Still, SMU's familiarity with UL's home court and UCLA's unfamiliarity should be a slight advantage.
