Well first I said it was my experience and I did not experience the Holliday bowl. And at the end of the dayl so g a bowl game that does not really matter is nothing compared to being robbed of a chance to win the national championship.

I haven't fell this way since Dec 19, 1980. Gosh what a horrid feeling. It should've never come down to the last 30 secs. Never.

I was at both. BYU was worse. This is very close second. BYU was only our fault though. We had help getting hit by the truck on this one.

Getting beat by 38 points by North Texas was pretty bad.

That was an awful moment, but we didn't have expectations back then and certainly weren't talking about an NCAA tournament run.

yeah I meant Utah with Van Horne rather than BYU. The Chaimande "loss" was a screwjob but not a tournament loss

Nothing was worse than being at Game 6 of the 2011 World Series.

This hurts, but I pray that I never feel as bad as I did on that night for the rest of my life.

Trying to find a bright side. Yesterday was brutal, but doesn't SMU basketball 2015 feel about like SMU football 1980 did? Looking forward, I hope SMU basketball 2016-19 feels like SMU football 1981-84!*

* Please skip the obligatory replies about what happened in 1986, thanks.

And you are wrong.

The worst was having to build TWO homecoming floats for Soccer Games b/c we got the death penalty while I was a student. While all my friends got to enjoy college football, we got nothing. (Heck, I don't even think we had a Spring game).
