It's long. He's not really up on the rules (goaltending is not reviewable). But he goes a little nuts here.

Mike "The Sports Pope" Francesa is an idiot. Both NY Tabloids regularly point out that he is wrong about just about everything.

But, even a blind squirrel can find a nut once in a while.

I have listened to Francesa and previously his partner Mad Dog Russo since the early 1980s. He has normally been right on and accurate with his statements. He was an early basketball commentator and studio host for CBS then moved onto WFAN radio which became the first all sports radio station in the country. Now he hosts his own radio show which is also televised on Comcast sports channel as I recall.

He is a total blowhard who is right about half the time. He bullies people into being right 100 percent of the time.

NCAA tourney time is the one time of year I try to listen to him (sometimes can get the broadcast this far south.) He does do a really good job of switching you out to the radio coverage of very close tourney games that are going on. Think of the way ESPN used to switch you back and forth to important game moments when they broadcast the first two rounds.

Was listening to him on my drive home from work yesterday when he switched out to the SMU game. Was happy to get to hear the coverage, even though I didn't like the ending.
