Almost had it all

Postby lollaperuna » Fri Mar 20, 2015 9:51 am

As I'm sitting at the Ice House watching the game yesterday with the sound on the Texas game that nobody was watching, the dominoes started falling in place with Baylor then Texas losing. All of our media competition was gone and we were on a 19-0 run with the game seemingly in hand. I briefly had visions of walking into any sports bar in Dallas with the SMU game being the main attraction.

That would have been so sweet 16, all we had to do was finish, beat UAB and we would have been the talk of the town.

I think we are getting more publicity now, and mostly pro SMU, than we would of Sweet 16. Of course I would rather we had advanced, but if we were not to be, at least we are in the limelight.

it was nice that at least 3-probably all the local networks had reporters and camera crews in Louisville, As with TCU football-we had the city waiting to jump on the bandwagon
