SMU fans in Louisville

Just thought I would mention we had a pretty strong showing in Louisville - crowd wise. Not much to cheer in the first half for either side - it was basically painful to watch and sloppy. But once we got even a crack in the door in the second half the crowd really rocked. I think the other schools were a bit shocked all these mild mannered preppies were screaming like idiots. We had at least twice the crowd of UCLA (although they had a lot farther to come and the 11th seed probably didn't encourage anyone).

Turned some heads for sure. Hope we get another chance to represent.

Overall I thought Louisville folks were nice and good hosts. Town was fine, but missed our chance to spend more time there since we bugged out. Kentucky fans were a bit arrogant - but I guess they have earned that. Didn't realize there was so much hate between Louisville fans and Kentucky fans - they really don't like each other.

Oh, and Koncak was there in full-on SMU gear.

Nice to hear we represented well.

Here's hoping to many more opportunities.

I'm not sure how it sounded on the opposite side of the arena, but in the middle of the crowd in 117 it sounded like Moody-quality loudness. Much larger arena and obviously fewer, but I thought the intensity was great during our 19-0 run. Fans really came alive. Many didn't sit down from 12:00 in the 2nd til the end.
