Lauren Hill

One of the most remarkable young women passed away this morning. Lauren played basketball for Mt. St Joseph in Cincinnati while dealing with brain cancer. Special thanks to SMU for being one of the many schools who donated a #22 jersey to the fundraising, and for the SMU fan who donated $500 to win the autographed jersey. Lauren left a big impression on everyone in the Cincinnati area.

I'm very sorry to hear about any young person passing. Glad some SMU types stepped up.

Now, let me just say that when i saw the name, I about freaked. Love me some Fugees

Sad news indeed. How the heck someone so young and seemingly healthy gets brain cancer is beyond me. Makes me sad whenever I hear about something like this - then angry. Glad to hear SMU stepped up.

You might want to post things like this in advance. I would have bid more than $500. FWIW.

$500 was the amount to buy the jersey as opposed to the auction. I bid $250 and someone came in with the total amount. Wish I could have gotten it. This was back in the fall.

ESPN did a story on her and her dream to play collegiate basketball. For those that saw the story, if it didn't touch your emotions you are not human. Brave young lady. May she rest in peace.
