'He'll be able to play immediately due to the NCAA's graduate transfer rule, and Sulaimon said that he has been contacted by more than a dozen schools -- including Arizona State, Baylor, Colorado, George Washington, Houston, LSU, Maryland, Memphis, Oklahoma State, Seton Hall, SMU, Texas, Texas Southern and Texas A&M.'

If he truly didn't get dismissed due to sexual assault, then I would take him

Keith has the hook up, Rasheed will be fine. Good pick-up if Keith can't make it back

He truly didn't get dismissed due to sexual assault.

The sexual assault issue came from two female students at Duke-sponsored, student-run, off-campus gatherings that are supposed to create a "safe space" for students to share experiences. I can imagine it's the type of gathering where a victim of sexual assault would be comfortable, even encouraged, to share that experience, but I'm *very* surprised that two students both named Sulaimon as someone who had attacked them--and also both chose not to pursue either formal student-process complaints, or legal charges. With that record, there's nothing for the school or the coaches to do with respect to those comments.

No one from K on down has said exactly why Sulaimon was dismissed, but it's clear he was riding the bench a lot more than he expected to be, both this year and last, and that his attitude was a problem. His recent statements are those of a more mature person, so *if* he does complete the spring semester and graduate (likely), then he'll probably be on a roster somewhere next year. Some media reports linked him to Maryland, but hoopmanx would know more about that than I do.

he reportedly has a 3.07 GPA so that's a positive for the kid

I have no inside knowledge though I know he's linked to the Terps as previously mentioned. My only deal w/this situation isn't the sexual assault rumor, it's that even as a frosh, he was clearly one of the more talented kids on the Dook roster. There are multiple kids who played a ton and won huge games for them who just weren't as good as Sulaimon. He's either a malcontent of the highest order, so stoned that he has a vape tucked in his shorts at practice etc. Being real, Semi can ball some, but he didn't deserve the burn that others got based on talent. That's not the case w/Rasheed. They clearly had a very legit reason to bury him

What kind of player would we be getting in Sulaimon?

Duke does not have a sterling record for protecting the rights of the accused in these types of cases. Lacrosse anyone?

Not to be a total pessimist: Would the fact that we were under federal investigation in Dec for 3 diff sex assault cases on campus and found guilty of at least 2 therefore Turner is all over this... I more than think this guy deserves another chance and he was not found guilty, but just wonder what these false accusations... Also, I have total faith in LB and esp Semi regarding reaching out to him and him being of good character & of course xcellent ball player.

lol they'd make a great conspiracy theories group. I heard that the Freemasons were behind A Kenneth Pye being hired here specifically to destroy the athletics program.

haaa!!! i think my post was misread... I just endured Turner lecture for 30min re: sex assualt and title ix on campus and how smu is now handling. i could not fig out why he went on for so freaking long on this topic until it was brought to my attn bout the fed invest cases and Turner getting backlash. SO, I am saying that Turner will "be all over this" meaning he will not want a once accused on campus while being under magnifying glass... No conspiracy therory here whatsoever- not that bright :-/
