Gibbs averaged 16 pts per game and shot 43 % from 3s last season with Seton Hall. I certainly don't want to see him suit up with UConn.
“@JonRothstein: Seton Hall transfer Sterling Gibbs told @CBSSports he will visit UConn on Thursday. Just visited Ohio State and Pitt. Immediately eligible.â€
“@jeffborzello: When Sterling Gibbs named his final six last week, Temple wasn't on the list. Sounds like they're trying to get involved though.â€

Shouldn't we want UCONN to get better?

Wow. We are arrogant asking a team to get better that won the national championship a little over a year ago. I guess with a limited view, since we won the conference championship this year, there is opportunity for improvement. From a program perspective, we cannot speak.

No arrogance whatsoever. I want all teams in the AAC to be the best they can be. If UCONN can load up Kentucky style all the better.

Yeah, I don't read that as arrogance. UConn won the NC 2 years ago, but they fell way, way off last year. Definitely want to see them get back into tourney form. AAC as a whole needs to be more like 2013-2014, and less like 2014-2015, next year.

Trouble....
@GoodmanESPN: UConn is the winner of the grad transfer sweepstakes this year (probably the last year) with addition of Sterling Gibbs and Shonn Miller.

If they play like Martin and Emelogu, did, won't help them very much.

At the end of the day I really don't care if we win the AAC or not. To me it is all about the NCAA tournament. Having UCONN load up gives us an opportunity at a couple more quality wins, which our conference desperately needs. Hopefully Memphis, UCONN, Cincinnati, Temple, etc. can join us i the top 25 soon. Additionally, great players want to play against the best so I see this as great news for the AAC.

Great point.
“@Sam_Vecenie: Finally, I also wrote some thoughts about Sterling Gibbs to UConn. Big-time get for them:

Good. I hope UConn kills it out of conference and is a ranked team all year. And I hope they're highly ranked when we beat them at Moody and up in CT this year. Not sure how anyone can see this as anything other than a positive- I want to play good teams and beat them in conference play.
UConn is going to be a handful, though- Gibbs and Shonn Miller joining Purvis, Daniel Hamilton, and Brimah along with a 5-star PG (Jalen Adams) and a top 50 PF (Steve Enoch) coming in. Bring it on!

As others have stated - I want UCONN to clean up OOC - and I want them to demolish the Longhorns along the way. The better that they are, the better for us...

We should want all AAC teams to get better. Good news.
