Hit with 5 major infractions, including the dreaded lack of institutional control.

Whoa.

I'll say 5 year probation. One year bowl and tourney ban. Loss of several scholarships.

actually they are accused of 5 CATEGORIES of violations some of which go back over a decade-and include hundreds of attached exhibits in support. Who knows how many VIOLATIONS they are alleging

that makes it sound even worse!

the funny thing is, it's the NCAA who is sitting in their offices wringing their sweaty hands trying to figure out how they are going to get out of this or minimize the damage as much as they can.

Well they could start by being very easy on us first.

Won't be the death penalty but if they were fair and consistant it would be worse than what USC got for both basketball and football.

No one should be surprised when this ends up being a very light slap on the wrist! Especially with the men's bball team! I 100% expect no postseason bans at all! The NCAA will not do that to a potential Final Four team with a coach who with all of his ties to the NCAA cheated for years at Kansas and received nothing.

The only punishment will probably hit football and Women's Bball and they will be Mild. I hope I'm wrong and they lay the hammer down!

Repeat offender and lack of institutional control both mentioned. I think UNC is going to get hit harder than Syracuse.

I don't know what I want them to do with UNC. Part of me wants them to slap them on the wrist because them the hypocrisy and absurdity (and a lawsuit) would be in front of everyone if they punished us severely. Part of me want's them to go draconian on them and set a limit of 10 scholorship per year for 4 years for FB, 4 year bowl ban. Limit to 1 scholarship a year for 4 years, 4 year post season ban for basketball and 5 years probation for the institution, Just because I would like to see a blue chip program taken down (I think it would take 10+ years to recover from something like that and football never might.

It's never good to have "lack of institutional control" in there.

I hope they get hammered.

what morons. I bet every school has something shady going on regardless of sport. It's all such a farce.

They will probably find a way to link SMU to UNC through Coach Doh.
