Summer Scenario

Larry Brown has turned SMU around very quickly, but there is a big elephant in the room over the coming months. The school received a notice of allegations from the NCAA earlier this year, and SMU is expected to meet with the NCAA soon. We won't know how it impacts recruiting until a punishment is handed down. For now, the Mustangs are moving forward with the 2016 class. With Markus Kennedy and Jordan Tolbert gone after this season, the biggest need is in the post -- and SMU wants a couple of inside prospects. Herard and Tshisumpa are the prime targets. Nic Moore will also be gone, but with Sedrick Barefield and Shake Milton coming in as freshmen this season, Brown and his staff are looking at combo guards in addition to point guards

They need to announce the "big elephant in the room," just so people will stop talking about it.

exactly. The cloud is way worse than the reality - and people are for sure using it against us - its about the only thing negative you could say. The program is hitting on all cylinders otherwise.

Who, specifically, is "SMU"? Who, specifically, is "the NCAA"?

Well said. Only issue I'd like resolving is who replaces Ulric and can we get them onboard for July? Otherwise, we're fine. Need to hit on a few in August/Sept, see what attrition happens, carry a few into Spring

Who the hell is Jethro Tshisumpa? I follow SMU bball all the time and I haven't heard his name mentioned once. Says he plays for a Dallas AAU team?

What I've gathered on Jethro- 6'9" 260, 7'6" wingspan. (By comparison, Dwight Howard has a 7'4" wingspan).

Definitely a rim protector that we could use. Originally from the Congo and has only been playing basketball for a few years, so still very raw.
