Brown said. "I think of him as one of our own. When he decided to come here he helped our program immediately by giving us credibility."

While I don't consider him a Mustang, I am glad he is doing well and hope he has a great NBA career.

The more we can make him one of us, the more he is willing to come back and be involved, run camps or attend games, wear gear etc, the better. If you cant find any opportunity to market it and make a connection, even if it's subtle or small, do it.

SMU will be mentioned in every national TV game he plays next season.

I love watching the summer league. Does that mean I have a problem? I was in Vegas a couple of years ago during the games. It's a short cab ride from the strip to UNLV and it's only $20 bucks a day for all the games you want to watch. Also, basketball royality can be seen everywhere in the stands (current players, former players, GMs, coaches, scouts...). If you're a bball junky it is very cool.

I think the most interesting aspect of this draft will be how the NY fan base reacts to the Euro they selected and the players they passed up. I hope the kid turns out to be a player because I think several picked later could be stars (Eman, Winslow, Johnson). In Denver's game last night the announcers were already talking about NY passing on Eman. Also, they spent 5 minutes taking about LB and SMU.

I saw Emmanuel play at Greenhill last weekend as part of the Hoop City Pro Am League. He was on a team with his brothers; Jason Maxiell was on the other team. Overall, it was pretty bad basketball, but there was a stretch where he drained three 3's in a row, so it was fun seeing him play.
The guy with the mic repeatedly mentioned how close he was to going to SMU, so hopefully he maintains that relationship.

I agree 100%. We need him to push T Ferg and any others. If it were me, I'd call him a Mustang for sure.
