Markus sounds like he's ready to ball out. Can't wait.

It's interesting after the season he thought he was gone until Nic talked him out of it....smart decision. It would've been go overseas or wait for a summer league invite this year. I've seen him projected as a mid second rounder in next year's draft.

I think if he plays at the way he's capable of playing he could be a late first...especially if he can develop a consistent mid-range game. His age (23) may hurt him, but a lot of those NBA guys are cap casualties after their rookie deals expire anyways and then they head overseas so age may not matter as much

SMU's Markus Kennedy says, with a smile, that he and Jordan Tolbert are going to be "like Marc Gasol & Z-Bo next year".

Brown says lots of guys can step into the spots of last year's seniors. Does he really believe that, or is that his normal m.o. to make everyone work hard and compete for time?

Thought he said it will be hard to fill their spots?

I wish he could be around for all of the OOC schedule. Can he start the day the fall semester ends or does he have to wait until the first day of the spring semester?

Great. That's what I was thinking. I just looked at the calendar and the semester officially ends 12/19.

SMU should shift things around to have the first semester end around December 1.

Shouldn't it be the other way around? So the first semester starts in the summer and he's ready in the fall?
How much weight has Markus lost? He looks really fit.
