Anyone seen this score:
Boise 60
La Tech 39
about 10 minutes to go.
This is excellent, falls right in place with my master plan for the Ponies to grab the 3 seed in the WAC tourney and dance right on to the NCAA's...

Re: WOW....Final score:
Boise 74 La Tech 51 Veeeery interesting! SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: WOW....We really need the win tonight.
Re: WOW....LaTech is in a huge slump...hopefully, they don't break out against us.
Re: WOW....Here are a couple more:
Rice 75 Hawaii 58 What has happened to Hawaii??? Re: WOW....Nothing happened to Hawaii, they are the same team they've been all season, invincible on the island, but lost on the mainland. They should beat both UTEP and Boise next week to finish 9-9 in conference. 8-1 at home, but 1-8 on the road. Not a shocker.
SMU is actually in prime position right now. We finish with one game against a team thats going through a major slump, while the 4 teams ahead of us in the standings will all play each other. Should we lose to Tech, though, we'd fall to 6th in the seedings, because Tech would hold the head-to-head tie breaker. Some will tell you that a glass is half empty, and others that the same glass is half full. But all CPC really wants to know is...... does the drink taste good?
Re: WOW....So if Fresno and Nevada take care of business this week, and we beat LaTech, then we get the third seed. We could even climb into 2nd if Nevada splits. Doesn't really matter though.
If this happens and Tulsa finishes 4th or 5th, we're on the opposite side of both Tulsa and Fresno.
Re: WOW....No, if Nevada splits and finishes 11-7, then even if we beat Tech, we'll be tied and Nevada holds a tie breaker over us (won against Fresno), Likewise Tulsa, if they split and are 11-7, they would also hold the tie breaker edge. If there is a 3 way tie, it would depend on the outcome of the of the Tulsa/Nevada game, if Tulsa won, they would be 2nd, Nevada 3rd, SMU 4th, based on Tulsa's 2 wins against Nevada, and one against us.

Re: WOW....Did anyone see that 4000 announced at Houston-TCU in Houston. It was more like 400. Houston recently lost 4 million in C-USA. Not hard to see why.
Easy explanation of the crowd in El Paso is El Paso. No pro competition.
Re: WOW....Yes, I happened to catch about 30 minutes of the TCU-Houston game and was amazed at how few people there were. Nacho, I think you're right, there were about 400 people there. I was amazed to read the next morning in the DMN that there were 4,000+. It's one thing to stretch the truth. It's another to commit outright fraud.
