.@BMont30, your guy @SniperShake looks he has a chance to be a scoring machine for @LarryBrownSMU. But Coach Brown will break him first. Lol

Shake is the best scorer LB has landed at SMU. Hopefully, it translates this season.

But Coach Brown will break him first. Just like Keith. And both will be infinitely better for it

Break him? This kid is not an animal. You don't want to break him of what he does best, if you do that you end up having a zombie for a player and word gets around on the recruiting trial. You don't see coaches like Bill Self breaking players but more making adjustments sometimes to their own offenses to accentuate that players strengths.

Look Keith was a fundamentally undisciplined player coming out of high school-yes you need to break a kid playing sandlot basketball. He came out of high school with 2 assets athleticism and shooting. Couldn't dribble, couldn't drive or create, didn't play defense. After 1 year with Larry I thought he made improvements in each area

I do believe Shake will be an added scorer for us but the player with the best
high school scoring stats is still Semi. It's hard to beat a 38 pt. scoring average.

Also Nic is a proven scorer in addition to a variety of basketball skills.

I believe we will be a team of scorers when you add in Tolbert and Kennedy. And
some of you think Keith might be a scorer. Sterling Brown? Barefield? Foster?
or Ben Moore might have a breakout year. We've created a Monster Mustang!

Larry has to 'break' all his players. That's his method and why he can be frustrating a lot of times. To 'us' it looks like he gets in his own way a lot.
