Mavs are gonna suck for the forceable future if they continue to chase the marquis free agents and are really gonna suck for awhile if they tear it completely down. If Larry can continue to build something special here, we should start getting more interest from the true basketball fan.......

As a basketball fan, I've never liked the NBA. Why? No defense, traveling never enforced, refereeing is home cooked without apology, no zones (except when they aren't caught). I like watching college and high school hoops. That is basketball as intended to be played. I much prefer to take in an NCAA game (and we have lots of options in the DC area with American, GW, Georgetown, Maryland and George Mason all nearby). That is why I'm so happy that we are relevant in hoops.

Agreed...Dallas loves a winner...especially in the winter months once Cowboys season is over; if Mavs are out of the hunt (which they probably will be) we could be the hottest ticket in town January-March. Stars will be good this year but there's a lot of sports fans in Dallas who'd rather watch big time college hoops than NHL
