SMU's heartbreaking semifinal loss to (then #3?)Utah in the '97 WAC tourney (along with the Utes' subsequent buzzer-beater to win the finals)was featured as one of the top 10 Championship Week moments of all time on Sportscenter this morning. Seeing Van Horn BEAT that horn in the waning seconds brought the hurt back all over again. It's not really noteworthy I guess, but anytime a Mustang jersey is spotted on SC, it's an event.

Wish I could attend the game tonight, I'm a little far away. I will be listening.

I can still picture that play in my head. What a game that was. Van Horne was fun to watch though wasn't he? Still, that one shot hurt alot. I say tonight begins a whole new season for mustang b-ball. Keep the momentum building. The big dance is just a few good wins away. Who knows? I say it can happen.
