One slide, and take it public

On the left, what Syracuse was accused of. On the right, what SMU was accused of. Then below, what the penalties were.

Also illustrate our actions compared to Syracuse. We suspended an assistant coach who it turns out wasn't even involved (according to the ESPN blurb). And we are getting sentenced heavily because the former head of basketball operations refuses to talk to the NCAA, which we have no control over.

It's time to go completely open and public on this. Do what Brady and the Patriots did against Goodell in deflate-gate. Rally the public against the NCAA and save our image.

Totally agree. Use the media and state our case simply and effectively.

If you think the Syracuse vs. SMU comparison is out of whack, just wait until the UNC sanctions come down.....in 2019. Blue blood sanctions vs. SMU. 30 for 30, Thad? Even though ESPN won't touch this....

I agree that we need to go public with this in a big way. The penalty is way out of line compared to other basketball powerhouses' infractions. It's the second time the ncaa has issued a death sentence to SMU and now in retrospect everyone agrees SMU should not have received the first one. Anybody have contact with 60 Minutes?
