Received an email a few minutes ago. One excerpt:

SMU disagrees with some of the Committee’s conclusions and penalties, and we will consider an appeal. We are particularly concerned about sanctions that punish student-athletes who were not involved in the infractions. These young men would be denied a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete in the postseason.

If the NCAA didn't have a [deleted] for us then it wouldn't be once in a lifetime.

It will need to be about more than being denied the chance to play in the post season. UConn got screwed by the NCAA not long ago with student athletes who weren't around and were denied the chance to play in the post season (not that I'm still bitter or anything).
