If we do it, we need to not be wussies about it. Lay out the case at least somewhat when you announce the decision, and add that we are doing this for the benefit of the NCAA, because this punishment is so far from appropriate that no school will ever self report again, and that undermines the authority of the NCAA and makes it more likely that it will disintegrate when member institutions bail out.

Time to go pick up the big stick.

Class action suit from SMU fans might also be nice, since we are a damaged party - and the school can just say they cant control us.
