Observations about our Friday foe

While La Tech played Nevada tough, a couple of things stood out on the radio broadcast:
1. They score many points off the fast break. They have stocked their bench with good athletes and a couple true scorers (Snyder, Green). SMU must get back on D and plan on doing a lot of running.
2. Nevada seems to commit very few fouls but draws many (they attempted 33 vs 12 for La Tech). SMU must keep them off the charity stripe to stay in the game.
3. Most of all, they rely on Snyder as their go-to guy and Green as their spark off the bench. SMU has to put our best defenders on them and work them to death.
Swami sees a close one tomorrow, maybe 62-59, I'll take the Ponies.
