Past History; Anti-trust Angle ?

Postby Pony in SA » Tue Sep 29, 2015 4:10 pm

Quick read and there was focus in report on this is our 10th time, and past history of infractions, even if many of those years ago (I think they cited some from 1958, 50 plus years ago). Even things 10 plus years old aren't admissible in court, so I would play that angle in appeal.

I also would get our Congressmen and Senators involved if they would provide help and play the anti-trust card. In the past that has seemed to worry the NCAA the most. I would pull out all stops because it really doesn't seem to matter if try to play ball with them or not.

Finally someone mentioned having Larry could go after NCAA individually like Tark did years ago. That may be angle. I certainly would push the inconsistent penalties compared to other schools and what they did. For what its worth even local radio guys here saying ridiculous what being done here to us compared to UNC, Penn State, etc. so I think they may be public opinion some on our side as well.

I hope Shore and other SMU alum attorney are all over this as trying to play ball with the NCAA so far as got us no favors.
