http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketb ... s-for-ncaaOhio State freshman JaQuan Lyle spoke with an NCAA investigator this week about his recruiting visit to Louisville in June 2013 and confirmed the gist of allegations involving paid escorts during his trip to the school, a source with knowledge of the NCAA's investigation told CBS Sports on Thursday morning.
"He told the truth," the source said.
The allegations were made in a book published last Friday night called "Breaking Cardinal Rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen." In it, Katina Powell, a self-described madam, writes that she took four escorts, at the request of former Louisville staff member Andre McGee, to do a "show" for a "new recruit named JaQuan Lyle."

Rut-ro!!!
Pitino is ok...he has an alibi...he was with his mistress.
Obviously these boosters are amateur enough to not know...you have to tip extra or this comes out! Must have a good tip game!

I wonder if this plays to SMU's advantage if we decide to appeal. If the ncaa is unwilling to lessen the penalties, it really sets them up to come down [deleted] both UL and NC.

No surprise. Lyle is a stud though. Deer gawd, kid is special. Watched him the other day at practice, flashes that same passing ability Russell had. Hopefully the Bucks are decent. Louisville wanted him pretty bad at one point before he committed to Oregon so it's not shocking they rolled out the red carpet, or....hookers on tap in this case lol.

Part of the reason for an appeal with even a thin argument that the NCAA can hang its hat on is to put it in a no win situation. If it gives in to SMU, it can rely upon any of the lack of intent or rogue employee, or substantial compliance arguments put forth and pat themselves on the back while lessening the penalties, so that when UNC or UL come before them, they can just slap their wrist and move on. Otherwise, it has to come down [deleted] two ACC schools slated to go to the Dance and Dance for awhile. That's a huge paycheck that the other 12 teams lose. Also UNC is a national brand that the NCAA wants in the tournament if at all possible. Dickie V would be apoplectic if his buddies Roy Williams and Ricky P got their programs hammered. But that's where this has to go if the NCAA sticks with our penalties.

This is what needs to get through to our admin. The next appeal committee will want to help us, but we have to give them the chance.

I've said it might be worth it just to get a "second set of eyes" on the evidence. New committee-different reactions

We should all start using "hard upon" because hard -- on is getting deleted.
