Project our W/L Record and National Ranking

First the whimsical. Let's say we run the table this year and go undefeated, what would our ranking be?

My guess: If we go undefeated, our ranking will be 12 - no way anyone wants a top 10 team left out f the tournament because then they have to explain it.

Second what do you predict our W/L record to be and year-end national ranking.

28-2. Ranking 18.

I do not think it would be hard to explain. Plus it will be mentioned in every game we play.

To the extent we can be ranked (I'm still not clear on that), if we run the table with our schedule we will be top 5. If we go 28-2, we will be top 10.

We can be ranked in AP but not coaches poll.

I bet we go 25-5 and don't even make the tourney.

20 wins. We will sorely miss all 3 seniors (who were very experienced and brought a lot to the defensive side of the court particularly) and there will be major growing pains with the 3 freshmen (as good as they all will be). Semi, I'm afraid, will be playing out of position here until/unless we land another big next year. He's really a "big" wing in my view. NOT a post player. (he and Foster should give teams fits with their size eventually - Shake, too - eventually).

Anyway, thanks for sharing the Rivals article. I think that summed it up well.

I think we will have a better gauge of the team after we play Stanford. I am really looking forward to that game.

Peruna's law, sort of in reverse. Best regular season in 50 years, can't make tournament. Despite immense benefit to program long-term, many want to cut off nose to spite face, incessantly whine about not appealing post-season ban again. Team travels Europe, has a blast.

This team is talented, deep, well coached, but small. As a result given the teams we play I think we will be around 26-4. Where that puts us ranking wise really depends on who we lose to.
