Replacing Ryan Manuel...

Obviously, we know someone will have to replace Ryan's guard defense, but who earns this year's "Ryan Manuel Honorary 'Unafraid to Posterize the Other Team's Big Men'" award?

I'm honestly not sure who on our team (of the guys 6'6" and under) can be anywhere near as fearless as Ryan was about challenging big men straight up and/or dunking over them.

I love Nic's face in the background of the first.... he almost looked scared that he won't make it.

This could be a two-man job. Offensively it's likely Semi will be throwing down some serious jams. Defensively it may be Jarrey who ends up drawing the tough defensive assignment. He won't start this year but he may be a quick call-up to shut down opposing guards.

One reason I don't like the Nic/Keith combo is that it's a defensive liability. I can see Keith starting but getting a quick hook when more D is needed. We have so many guys who can contribute this year that rotations are going to be difficult. Even more interesting is that Jank will be managing the minutes for the first third of the season.

Definitely one of my favorite moments from last season!

Sterling has always been one of the best defenders on the team.

I don't think that is a very fair assessment. KF played much better defensively last year than he did as a freshman. Moore is a defensive liability because of his height.

Agreed….but that hardly makes Keith a "stopper." I hope he continues to improve on the defensive end but he's got a long way to go until he becomes the guy we put on the other team's offensive threat.
