I sit right behind the visitors bench next to the center student section so here are my thoughts about the students. 1) They did a good job turning out. the middle was packed and I noticed the sides filled although somewhat slowly. 2) engagement with the game could be better. I noticed the corner students near me were seated the whole game. There are two other bigger issues. First, the students are not well organized in cheering in the front section 2 years ago there were often chants started. The one time they tried to get Seven nations army going they were immediately crushed by the band. When the DJ actually played 7 nations army it was during a dead period in the game and it didn't get going. The other issue is that the students didn't get after the opposing coach/players at all. For the last two years luigi and company would hound the other team relentlessly. The players would notice it and it would distract the visiting fans as well. This last game, crickets.

it was Sam Houston. hard to get a hate up for this one. I think you will see some harassment as the season progresses.
