They have a solid team even with some key player injured. This is going to be a good fun game to watch.

I've seen Stanford make plenty mistakes in the past. That is part of the reason they did not make the NCAA tournament last year. CSU might just be a bad team like 94 was saying but they did play Wichita State pretty good in the first half last Friday.

This doesn't sound very encouraging for them....

Saw Michigan play as well. Stanford looks better but not by much.

not gonna happen. For all of Larry's early talk about pressure picking up at the airport, the would much rather sit back and play solid half court D and not give up quick buckets off a press break. That will be especially true this year with the reduced shot clock.

You would think LB would give at least some type of 3/4 press to slow a team down and make them have less time on the clock to run their offense. A lot of teams are doing that now with the reduced shot clock.

The rule changes regarding fouls will affect different programs differently. Jank mentioned in his presser that in our case we'll play some zone to keep our guys from fouling. We are lucky to have depth at the 1-2-3 but really can't afford our bigs to get into foul trouble. So Full court will probably not happen unless it's near the end of the game.

While this does move away from LB's (awesome) "airport" quote, it makes a lot of sense. And given our length we should be fairly adept at closing off passing lanes. The question becomes can we close down a good three point shooting team. That's surely not a new question, is it?

We are long at the 1, 2, and 3 but not at the 4 and 5, not like we were last year. It will be good to see how our bigs do against Stanford's bigs.

The press might really suffer if Ref's are going to call off the ball contact and hand checking so closely this year.

Another issue is our team has got to get their hands up when playing zone. Syracuse generates a fair amount of turnovers just from errant passes hitting their arms. Small issue but if you are going to play zone get your arms up.
