Possibly the best sub-tweet a coach has ever made. For those that don't grasp it, it's an Elijah Thomas shot

Saw you tweet that. I didn't get it at first as well. Well played by Kennedy.

This is an awesome tweet...BUT we all know that basketball is different and Elijah Thomas thought he could be a OAD and ended up at A&M partially because they were filling his mind with those dreams as well. His quote when he committed to them was that he wanted to win a national title in his freshman year. The subtext there is that he didn't want to stick around for multiple years.

As far as I'm concerned Kennedy is getting what he bargained for

He wanted to win a national title, and get his minutes and stats. Kid seems to have a bad attitude but a coach bashing him on Twitter (even veiled) is pretty childish. I bet Larry and Tim will never say anything bad about Sed publicly.

Thomas needs an attitude adjustment maybe Larry could be e one to teach him team first and FOE.

Sounds like with Robinson, Thomas in basketball and possibly Murray in football leaving the he is trying to do some twitter damage control for the Aggies.

yeah - he is throwing shade now that ET is leaving, but you just know he was nodding like a bobblehead when ET said he wanted to get a ton of minutes and be one and done. Kennedy was no doubt saying, "yes, of course....just sign right here and we will do all that together".

See, I doubt too many, including Kennedy promised anything more than a chance to win the job. Ags returned much of their frontline plus Davis. Did he think a senior Jalen was going to sit? Trochka was more highly sought and thought of than Elijah, same w Davis.

They all lie, so I am guessing even though everything you say is true about the players in front of him, I would guess Kennedy made all kinds of promises. Its what they do.

The tweet was priceless. And as usual Hoop, thanks for giving me a laugh. My son was at his girlfriend's house this weekend and her dad said something to her and she looked at him and said, "Dad quit throwing shade." Apparently 40-something white men do not know what the phrase means.

Why do you always have to bring in color

Apparently some do. Jalen left SMU to go somewhere he could get minutes or at least was promised minutes and he magically ends up at A&M. When a ncoach promises playing time and can deliver he is okay but when he does not deliver then he has problems. Looks the football Aggie coach did the same thing with Murray and now is learning his lesson

Love the tweet….as long as it comes from Planet Aggie.

I wouldn't care to see it come from the Hilltop.

Come on OTP, I don't always bring up color unless it's relevant. I just find it amusing that some do not know what it means to "throw shade."
