I thought we were eternally jinxed after seeing the 'undefeated teams graphic' for the 13th time on TV. Guys deserve this and will be undefeated for at least 6 days. Tulsa is gonna be tough, but this team seems truly special.
Great showing by the pony fans in Vegas!

I hear you but I think these guys will eat Tulsa for lunch.
Well... Ok.... That may be four buck pints talking.

I know we are playing this one game at a time, but that may have been our toughest opponent. We have some more tough games ahead, but this was a very good team.

Cincy and UConn are going to be nail biters.

We already look "tournament tough".....quality win, Top Ten by 1/16?

We still have major troubles with lengthy, athletic teams who shoot at least mediocre from three. We don't assert an inside game and we give SGs god-like three-point abilities; We came out on top this time but we still have major road bumps ahead: Cincy & UH notably.

Totally agree with that assessment, SMUer. Great to get the win, but we've got bumps ahead. Fun season.

plus there is gonna be a game when Tolbert and Kennedy foul out leaving Ben Moore as our only tall inside player. Noticed today that Ben is all the way up to 8.2 rebounds a game but that would create real mismatches. I'm on-board with Semi redshirting but we may lose 1-2 games more because of that decision

Has anyone considered enjoying the run we are on? Of course going undefeated is next to impossible. We may not even win another game the rest of the year. Woe is us.
I for one am savoring every victory, enjoying every day between games, and taking pride in what the team is doing. But you others be sure to keep the world in balance by nitpicking every negative you can out of a perfect season so far.

i think it is just an expression of caution. I am really enjoying this team. Some others want to focus on how hard it will be to beat a really long team inside - and thats ok - but everyone else is looking at us and wishing they didn't have to play us.

Based on OOC, we might only be a two bid conference, Cincy and UConn. Tulsa, Temple and Memphis have been disappointing. And that Grand Canyon loss might really hurt Houston in March.
That said, everyone in our conference will be out for us because we will be their best chance for a resume builder.

Perfect post mrydel. This team is something to appreciate. Not in my wildest dreams could I have imagined this start.

I'm the worst of all, I love every moment of this season but far more vested in next year and the year after.

That is exactly why I bit the bullet and agreed on the post season ban. I am looking forward to many years going forward, not just this year. I would like to do anything we are allowed to do to thank Nic, Markus, and Tolbert, but my excitement is with Shake, Jarray, Frazier, Ben, et al.

More wise words from Mrydel-!
Merry Christmas!
