3 SMU Students In VegasI just want to shout out 3 SMU students who were starting chants the entire game. They were yelling every time the opposing team got the ball and really made it feel like a home game for our team. Especially when we went down 8 points tonight, they did not stop and were a huge part in the big come back tonight. Glad to see our students really support our team no matter where they go!
Re: 3 SMU Students In VegasThey were great! Really, there was about six of them that were leading the chants. And, don't forget SadderBudwieser he was stirring the pot, too! It was fun tonight - so glad we made the trip out here. Merry Christmas everyone!
Re: 3 SMU Students In VegasThose kids were great the whole game! Sadderbudweiser is the man... Shout out to to the big guy wearing the Graham jersey too and a bunch of the other fans that showed up were great. Fun tourney. We definitely outnumbered all the other schools there even though it was not a packed arena. Looking forward to MSG next year and can we please do a thanksgiving tourney somewhere good? (St Thomas, Atlantis, Mexico, anything? -anyone know if anything is in talks???). We travel pretty well actually and it's a guaranteed great time.
Re: 3 SMU Students In VegasMSG is the week of tgiving so I doubt we travel after that.
But I second the shoutout above, they were great. Honestly it was the most involved SMU non-moody crowd top to bottom I've seen minus the UCLA tourney game. Good on us! The CU fans were dumbfounded.
Re: 3 SMU Students In VegasIt was awesome on TV. Loud and clear the entire game. Great job to all of you there.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: 3 SMU Students In Vegas
Amen! Long live Inez Perez!
Re: 3 SMU Students In Vegasthere is a clip on instagram at the end of the game which appears to show some jawing back and forth with some CU fans at the end - anyone there want to elaborate?
Re: 3 SMU Students In Vegas
Yes, our fans were great! Thanks for representing!
Re: 3 SMU Students In VegasThe jawing was going on all game. During our smu chants the buffs would yeall "cheats" between, and any number of other things. Was in the likka line in front of four of them, and despite their glee to point out that we "cheat", including posters listing the ncaa code # we violated, one of the louder skanks in particular was saying "what? He coached in the NBA? When? Who did he coach?"
Their old folk tried to engage our fans also instead of directing whatever onto the court. Oh well. Last edited by RGV Pony on Thu Dec 24, 2015 1:48 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: 3 SMU Students In VegasWhere on Instragram did you find a video? Would love to see it
Re: 3 SMU Students In Vegas
I was simply asking if anyone had stopped at the dispensary on the way out and could they hook a brother up? Party at The Wopper!
Re: 3 SMU Students In VegasThe chants were loud on TV and even got mentioned a few times by the commentators. Great crowd! I love that we've traveled strong this year to TCU and Vegas.

Re: 3 SMU Students In VegasLarry Brown mentioned in post-game interview he couldn't believe how loud SMU fans were and so many SMU fans were there
I guess David Miller got a particular kick out of the victory because he lived in Colorado right? "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: 3 SMU Students In VegasSearch for smubasketball on instagram and it should pop up. very loud end of game "undefeated" chant.
Re: 3 SMU Students In VegasWatched the second half re-run on TV this morning at 4 AM. Totally amazing were the SMU chants and cheering. It came through so loud on TV that I could almost believe they were in Moody. Most impressive was the volume and enthusiasm when SMU fell behind toward the end of the game. I got all fired up just listening to the great job those fan were doing and the support they were giving. I was thinking to myself that SMU is really traveling well in basketball and what a great showing for the team.
