So, we can't play in the postseason, which is best for program, but still a damn shame. To honor these kids and reward them for their loyalty and excellence, there has been talk of an alumni-funded tour of Europes finest club teams. A chance to have a great time, get international exposure and r&r. A job well done. Now, I have no idea if that's even possible. Can it come to fruition based on rules etc. No idea. That said, I propose a different sort reward for this program, complete w/healthy dose of FU NCAA.

Simply, we've been painted w/a black hat for years and this latest season could go down like UNLVs in the early 90s. Possibly the best team, not getting a chance. So, lets wear the hat proudly. Pool money, come up w/a nasty sum, and upon completion of the Championship game, publicly declare we've got next. One game, 3 of 5 on a neutral court, don't care. The championship school takes the loot, we take a shot at the crown. To leverage them saying yes, use a charity, say a huge percentage of proceeds go to kids or Jimmy V foundation, whatever.

Love it. we can get a 5 million dollar purse, with half going to the winner school and half going to charity of the winners choice.

NCAA would disallow, so it is like an offer you know they can't accept - which is actually kind of fun.

We're back in the headlines w/crazy bravado and swag, throwing loot around, like they think we love to do. It's street cred central for the program. IF national champ says no, we call them out like it's a prize fight. Hell, lets play them in Rucker Park or something

They are not getting punished this year maybe not even next year. The NCAA will probably wait until they have a team that is not that good to punish them.

While I don't think it was, I think we will find out the answer to that over the next few years as we see how the program actually does as opposed to any speculation.

Kind of like speculating we would go far in the tourney this year huh.
