Some on this board have suggested that all we need to do is win and our venues will be packed no matter who we play. Since the student section is so small to begin with, maybe some local Dallasites who don't usually have an opportunity to attend games in Moody will see this as an opportunity to come out. Or maybe we actually have 500 students in the DFW area or within a couple hours drive that care enough to come out and support this undefeated team. Or, it could just be that SMU students and alumni for the most part are apathetic about SMU sports and the casual DFW area college hoops fan just doesn't identify with SMU so we will have only 5k attend. At least we are not back in the "old Moody days" when only the 1,500 would attend.

Asinine post. No one said packed - the point is improved attendance. And my point is made by what I bolded.

I have been impressed with the crowds and passion at Moody every game. I think I expected a fall off due to the no post season buzz kill, but now I've come to the conclusion that the injustice has fired people up!

It is not just that school is out. People are away for the holidays or have non interested visitors in for the holidays. They may be traveling to or from their homes.

I just assume, and maybe wrongly, that this will not be our best attended game and will not be upset if that is true. Just glad it is not a stronger opponent.
