I never thought 15 would sound so nice. So proud of these guys. Like everyone else, Nic Moore and company have taken us on an incredible ride. When the term "stay relevant" on the basketball scene is used, its pretty clear that that is happening on the Hilltop.

I don't want to get to far ahead with all the talk of UNDEFEATED, but if we get into February without a loss, SMU/this team will garner so much positive attention that even the naysayers will have to take notice. Its already happening. Various writers all jumping on board hoping this team goes undefeated to show the NCAA the flaws in the penalty process.

Just imagine what might have been had the penalty simply been that KF was declared ineligible for all the year for his involvement, along with the 9 game suspension to coach. We'd be right where we are are now, with crazy talk about Tournament Seeds, ranking, etc... Semi playing.....

Agree - I have no problem with any of the teams ahead of us at this point in the season.
We deserve to move up next week if we pull off a win with just 7 scholarship players vs Cincy.

national media guys won't even notice we only have 7 scholarship guys playing. won't even look at the box score.

We're on ESPN on Thursday - not hidden on the U or ESPNEWS, so maybe we have a better chance than usual to be noticed :)

This is the biggest issue we face.

With the big name teams, voters take into account injuries and DNPs when looking at both wins and losses. "They lost but they didn't have XXX so it wasn't as bad of a loss." Ex: seen tweets downplaying SMU over Michigan because their Star PG didn't play - they don't know and don't care enough about SMU to look into the game and see that we lost MK 50 seconds in.

They have no idea who SMU is missing, etc. and all they see is the final score.

Why would they rank us higher if we win with 7? It is not like we are going to have more players later in the year so some might be projecting to how we will be when we get everyone back.

I think we are near what are true ranking is that is we are probably somewhere between the 15-25 best team in the country on any given night without keith). That said the rankings pay more attention to wins and losses. If we keep winning we will keep moving up. I hope we can keep going. I don't think our 7 guys are a top 5 team but we could certainly get ranked there if we keep winning.

Terry Toohey still has us unranked. @TerryToohey

Elton Alexander from the Cleveland Plain Dealer has us at #6.
