Deepen the bench somehow.

It would seem we could find some way to get more help for the bench going forward besides the 3 walkons we have right now. Got to be something out there i.e. from our football team. This is a somewhat desperate situation.

I like it. If Coach Morris would be ok with it, why not? I'm quite sure there are some ballers on the football team that would love to lace em up again. This thing would become even more of a story. Hey, we have park this Porsche in March, so let's have a little fun with it till then.

Not sure we are in a "desperate" situation. We still have 7 players in our rotation, with Wilfong available if we need him (hopefully not).

These 8 young men will play as if they are on a mission, which they are. I am excited to watch what they can do for as long as they are able. They are our 2016 Elite 8.

I think we could use another player/body for practice more than actual games. But, I guess Kevin could easily jump into that role at practice.

It becomes a major problem if and when we start fouling out some of our guys and everyone's minutes go up even more with little or no rest.

Unfortunately, tomorrow's game is the one where we could get in serious foul trouble. The first five minutes will be VERY important foul wise.

The games against Cincy are the games we are most likely to lose due to foul troubles. Very interested in how this turns out

I'm curious to see if we go with a rope-a-dope type strategy so we can be physical in the 2nd half and pull out a win.

Wilfong will be playing C for the first 8-10 minutes.

This is how Jank handled it in those short bench games. But that was against Howard and Nic State. Expect a lot of Zone and let's hope that we don't get the refs from the first couple of games at Moody or the TCU game.

The team has been trained in practice to not commit silly fouls. (Doesn't mean it won't
happen occasionally.) No grabbing/holding; no trying to stop drives by moving the arms
and hands in; no slapping at the ball; no fouling 3 pt shooters. The problem will probably
be related to drives to the basket when the defender is trying to take a charge. At that
point it depends on whether the official(s) tend to call charges or blocking.
We have been very good at it so far and I think Larry and Jank will put even more
emphasis on it in the days to come.
By all means, use Wilfong to help absorb some of the first half or when a player develops
2 fouls in the first half. I agree with other posters that we should find other players from
football or the student body - maybe Ira and David Miller have some eligibility left.

So we literally just have seven scholarship players plus one walk on (Wilfong?)? We don't have any other white guys on the bench who will one day dominate bball at the Premier Club?
Every team has four generic white guys who are walk-ons and get endless cheers from the frat-tatisc fans.
