UNLV has fired Dave Rice, multiple sources told ESPN.
They have a good 2016 class but I believe all four are wings, no bigs.

Read where they almost fired him in off season and were gonna hire Ben Howland but didn't. So Howland wound up in Starkville

When I was out there for a conference in the fall, the locals were really talking up the team. Had really high expectations.

They had a monster recruiting class last year which included a 5-star center out of Vegas. Many thought they would be a top 25 team this year.

UNLV has a great history but I can't imagine janknwould leave to coach a mid major when I'm sure if he wants to leave early he will be able to get P5 or Big east.

The guys on the CBS college basketball podcast were throwing around Kelvin Sampson's name as a good fit for UNLV.
