Surprised he didn't find a school in SoCal for mamma. If he struggled with culture shock coming to Dallas wait till he spends a year not playing basketball in Salt Lake. Wish him the best though and sorry it didn't work out hear kid has skills.

He will be closer to home and have games nearby on occasion. Plus i don't think Utah is an academic mecca by any means.

Good luck to him and nice to see that the big conference think as much of our players as we do.

I think he really didn't think this through. Sitting out a year in Utah, when he could be playing on this team with plenty of guard time now and waaay more next year. We pick up two solid bigs and return Shake, Ben M, Sterling, Gu and Jarry, plus 2 newcomer guards. Doesn't make sense if he is really that talented. No shame in not beating out a future NBA guard for point.

I think he made the right call. Sometimes, a fresh start us just the ticket.

Examples: Nic, Markus, & Tolbert
