I think either Lancaster or Johnson were very good point guards on high school.

If those guys can play 5-10 minutes / game and not muck up spacing, I am all for it.

It'll give MK5 a chance to rest.

Yeah, I'm not expecting big minutes, but someone who can chew up some minutes or bang some bodies against UCONN or Memphis or Cincy.

They'll make a huge contributions by providing live bodies in practice

Why do we need separate weight rooms for football and basketball? Aren't the squat racks adjustable? I would assume if they are associated with the BBall program, it would just be to round out/provide depth on the practice squad. My Dad (Springfield '50) would travel with some classmates to West Point periodically to scrimmage/practice with the Army hockey team because they needed depth.

Kevin Johnson was 2 time MVP of his District and made First Team All District 3 years-but we are probably all right at PG. But who knows an injury, an ejection or 5 fouls and we need that 8th player

Recruiting for one. Most that have the up to date practice facilities for their hoops team have separate weight rooms. In fact, from my understanding the football team will be getting a separate weigh room that they don't have to share with the other sports like soccer etc when the IPF is built.

Bodies in practice is the most important thing. they probably are not skilled enough to be high level D1 players (like all 7 of our scholly guys) but I'm sure are athletic enough to give decent looks defensively.
