Alicia Froling Named To Conference Weekly Honor Roll
Sophomore recognized for fourth time this season

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (SMU/AAC) – Alicia Froling was named to the American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll for the fourth time this season after a 19-point, 11-rebound performance against Memphis Saturday, en route to her seventh double-double of the season.

The sophomore forward led all scorers, going 8-for-11 from the field and 3-of-6 from the free throw line in 35 minutes. Froling scored 13 points in the second half, going 7-for-10 from the field and making seven of SMU’s 15 second-half field goals.

The Queensland, Australia, native is one of two players in the American Athletic Conference averaging a double-double, scoring 12.5 points with 10.7 rebounds per game. Froling ranks 15th in the American in scoring and is second in the conference in rebounds. The 6-3 forward has reached double figures in points 11 times this season, and double figures in rebounds eight times.

Froling climbed to 10th all-time in career blocks at SMU after recording two blocks against Memphis, Jan. 16. The sophomore has tallied 76 blocks, having recorded 22 this season. Sharee Shepherd (2004-08) occupies ninth place on the all-time list with 79.
