unless SMU handles this with a lot of class there will be push back against SMU and Larry Brown. Just win and represent well. The criticism of the NCAA wears better when someone else is making the argument for you.

The 'this team was only built by cheating' narrative has been pushed very strongly by the talking heads so it's not surprising at all that other college basketball fans want to see a team better than theirs punished.
