Following the at home loss to East Carolina, even the hardcore Pastner fans are accepting the inevitable. If only he didn't have an ironclad contract through 2019 at $2.65M per year with no buyout.

Wow, so they have to pay him full freight through 2019? I don't think I've ever heard of a college HC contract that didn't have some kind of buy-out.

Yep. Charlie got his last $2MM from Notre Dame this season. He will continue to be paid by KU through the end of 2016.

Memphis wants all the Jewish coaches.

That team could Pass ( over) a bit better.

I'm in Center City, so between the buildings blocking a lot of it, and the city doing a relatively decent job plowing, not as much as the rest of the city and the suburbs. Some of the curbs aren't great, and a few sidewalks alternate between snow, very wet close-to-puddles snow, and ice, but it really hasn't been too bad. It's 48 degrees today and I don't need gloves. I think the final total was around 2 feet, but to me, it was much worse growing up in the suburbs.

For Philly, because a lot of the neighborhoods are spread out, it really just depends where you live and how much the city prioritizes your neighborhood. I had class cancelled last night because my professor's neighborhood wasn't plowed.

Memphis paper reported today that Pearl has a $5M buyout at Auburn that drops $1M annually beginning this Spring, so that would be $4M for the buyout, plus $10M to dump Pastner, plus a generous package for Pearl. That may be a bridge too far for Memphis, but they have to do something, attendance is falling fast, and seat license revenue likely faster.
