We blew it tonight. Tied at the top with losses at UCONN and Cincy still to go. It's a shame.

Show me the path at this point. I feel like I'm one of the more level headed posters on here. We lose a tiebreaker with temple. And the way this team is playing I don't see us winning at Cincy or uconn.
You need temple to have six losses.

We are a very gritty team that is fairly good but exhausted...love these seniors and hope we finish strong.

I was thinking the same thing - it's catching up to us now. Rough night.

Can't lose again at home and need at least 2 of 3 away games against UConn, Cincinnati and Memphis

I don't personally give an ish. Get through this season and move on. This season was effectively over w barefield/frazier. You can't run deep w 7, you can barely keep your head above water.

Here's the real: we have 7 kids. Of those, Markus s having a biblically bad senior season. We have one frosh who was slated for 15-18 minutes, running 35. We have on other frosh playing big minutes, who none of us saw playing in preseason.

There is nowhe to turn for answers when someone has a bad game or we get tired on D. Love these guys, it's a helluva crew, but let's just get through this. They are so undermanned, its painful.

When Nic goes out of the game we area a different team. He had to sit too long because of that 4th foul. If he stays out of foul I think the team will do fine.

We didn't defend anyone all night. Nic was fire, but shake got every look he wanted and got Inge lane at wil. Get stops first

We are going to have to play better defense than that to win conference. If we had played defense all game, it wouldn't have mattered when Nic went out because we would have been up by 15. Tolbert was horrible defensively at the beginning of each half, and we were outscored by 8 early and then 8 to start the second, I think. Nic gave up three easy buckets on really bad turnovers. And tons of uncontested layups.

Odds are against us, We will have to lose only once the rest of the season.

MK had an awful last shot, but other than that he looked better out there than he had in months.

I don't understand this team. I told my son before the game that Tulsa would
probably win and this was because of what I saw during warmup drills before the game.

Did anyone else notice their lackadaisical attitudes and the undisciplined actions
of the team? Some were shooting trick shots that they would never shoot in a game;
some where shooting the ball without looking at the basket; four or five guys were sitting
in the folding chairs on the north side of the playing floor and shooting from out of
bounds in a sitting position. This during warmups. Others were shooting 3's from the
corner, and just before they could get a shot off one of the waiting players would reach out
and knock the ball away and they would laugh.

Where were the coaches? Where is the focus? Where is the determination? Also - why did
Larry not take Shake off of No.3 Harrison? Shake couldn't stay in front of him and could
not keep him out the lane. He scored at will during the last 10 minutes of the game.
Why didn't Larry play Nic on offense when he ;picked up his 4th foul. He could have removed
him during defense. He kept him out the game too long? I know I am just disappointed but
Shake can't play defense and Nic can't score from the bench.

I agree. I noticed the lack of focus during pre-game warmups, too. Instead of practicing the type of shots that they would be taking during a game, they were trying to dunk the ball and generally just goofing off. Heck, that would have been an excellent time for them to practice shooting foul shots.

Bad matchup for shake. They made an adjustment at the end of the game and put Sterling on 3, but Tulsa started nailing threes. Our defense was really bad for most of the game. Our help defense is amazing to watch normally, but we left guys wide open under the basket or exposed shake and nic on isolation drives right at the top and got burned.

^this!

Could not agree more re: Markus. Who kidnapped heavy MK and gave us skinny MK?
