You would never know the Zags were coming to town Saturday night for a primetime 9pm game by looking at this board. SMU hasn't sent out anything about this game either. Is it our red out game? Shirts on every seat? Rally towels? Anything? Gotta get our mojo back

The Zags have won six straight by an average of 20 points a game. This is a really big game for them and they will definitely be ready.

I probably would have put my other post "here" had this thread existed when I started typing. I was a bit surprised that there wasn't any "pre-game" buzz about this great mid-February OOC matchup.

I think losing a couple of games and the reality of no post-season has finally hit our players and fan base. But no doubt there should be more buzz around this game.

The Tulsa loss was a real buzz kill. Nobody said it, but I think we were all in our minds looking at Tulsa as a sure win and looking forward to the big game against Gonzaga. Now all we can think about is the possibility of not repeating as conference champs.

I think the buzz will be back Saturday night and I expect a great game.

Secondary market tickets definitely took a dip after the Tulsa game... I think 'the wind is out of our sails' a bit. No postseason. No undefeated season. No undefeated-at-home season. Barely hanging onto the league lead (and falling). Definitely a tough coaching job ahead for Brown and Jankovich.

But I've been hyped for this game since I saw it on the schedule and nothing has changed that. Cannot wait for Saturday.

Plus, it's a (very) late Saturday game; I'm thinking the students will be 'well prepared'. I know I will be.

Is SMU doing any type of Valentine day promotion? I believe last year they gave away t-shirts.

That's right, I forgot about that. I will pull out the valentines t-shirt they passed out last year or the year before and wear it to the game. Thanks for the reminder. Just my opinion but SMU PR should be promoting this game out the wazoo on social media. Maybe I have missed it, but haven't seen anything.

the game literally means nothing to SMU. The only thing we are playing for is conference championship. Huge game on Thursday. Frankly, I would rather sit guys who are hurt and rest Nic than beat the Zags.

Michigan was the best game experience at Moody this year and it meant the same don't you think?

It means nothing only if you think national perception doesn't matter. We are still the new kid on the block when it comes to big time college basketball, and we still have a ways to go to convince people we belong. Games like this matter a lot in that regard.

A win means we stay in the Top 20. A loss and we are likely not in Top 20 and on verge of leaving Top 25. I think that means something to the team.

I'm curious to see how the crowd and team come out on Saturday. I have no idea for either. That Wednesday night crowd makes me think the fanbase is checking out on the season. The team just seems to be wearing down.

I'm looking forward to the game. Kudos to the AD and whoever else for getting a home and home with Gonzaga and Michigan.
