Have seen him in person twice now (NCAA against Duke last year) and he is an absolute stud. It is too bad that Gonzaga plays in a conference with almost no coverage.

He was 9-14 against us and had 16 Rebounds, 6 of those Offensive. He is AVERAGING 17 Points and almost 12 Rebounds. That will get you paid....Not sure if he goes pro or not this year, but he is a pleasure to watch (although not that much against your own team).

He's the real deal. Of course, many call his dad the greatest European player ever. Even when he was past his prime he gave Portland a few good years. I think Sabonis Jr has all the skills to be a very good NBA player. I bet he goes pro after this season.

Sabonis is the best post player to have played against us at new Moody since it opened. He will have a great NBA career

Not sure Sabonis was past his prime when he landed in Portland. Biggest problem was injuries quickly limited his capabilities. Never-the-less, he showed flashes of the player he might have been injury free. Portland has had a history of injury problems facing centers starting with Sam Bowie ( leg fractures ), Bill Walton ( breaking foot bones ), Sabonis and recent center from Ohio State ( name escapes me ) microfractures.

he was amazing and unstoppable. Kind of a funny looking technique but gets it done.

yeah he is definitely ready for the NBA Was more than a handful for our guys.

33 on the other hand was not all that impressive to me. He got worn out by the contact.

By the time Sabonis stepped onto an NBA court, he was 31,had been playing professionally for 14 years and had ruptured his Achilles amongst many other injuries. He still had a lot in the tank but there was a lot of wear and tear on his 7'3" 300 lbs body by then

He was great against NBA like forwards (Kennedy and Tolbert). One wonders how successful he would be against big men with height like NBA centers? He is very talented but he had a clear advantage over our 'bigs'.

He was fun to watch. I can see him having a good NBA career beginning next year

Feel like he had a good game last year against Cannan and Yanick as well, and those guys definitely have NBA center type length.
