Syracuse & Boeheim & the NCAA

So the NCAA selection committee will evaluate Syracuse only on the games they've had w/ Boeheim....Effectively discounting his suspension.

This is some more b.s. if you're an SMU fan. If penalties are designed to punish..why dilute their consequences?

"Syracuse’s losses to Georgetown, St. John’s, Pittsburgh, Miami and Clemson won’t be considered because their head coach was suspended."

So, if we were tourney eligible we'd have nine less wins and our victories over Michigan and Stanford wouldn't count?

The SELECTION COMMITTEE must have just got a hold of the enforcement guy's stash.

This can't be true. No single body could be responsible for this many bad decisions in a single year.

Nothing new. Blue blood programs do not answer to the NCAA.

Enough already. I hate lawsuits and litigation (even though I'm an attorney). At some point our fine University needs to decide whether to allocate the resources and join a handful of schools and bring suit against the NCAA for its arbitrary and capricious application of its own rules and punishment. For them to go in after the fact and modify Penn St and now Syracuse is an absolute injustice. This lawsuit won't follow the traditional lines of infractions, punishment and appeal. This needs to be a free standing case based on the individual cases and how punishment is doled out by the Infractions Committee. While the rules grant a tremendous amount of discretion to the NCAA, that power (granted by the member schools) cannot be all encompassing and unfettered.

How long do we keep saying, "this wouldn't happen to a power 5' school!" Eff it. Time to call the damn Texas Law Hawk. (Hawk squawk plays in the background)......

Wasn't their head coach in waiting filling in during Boeheim's absence?

They aren't "bad decisions". They're just the regular sort of decisions that organizations that are completely corrupt and without integrity make.
