Grading Mob-students ECU

Worst turnout I can remember in the new Moody. The Mob didn't even come close, to filling their small center court section. Student section beside the band was very sparse, especially, when the two women's teams left the building.... after, being introduced to the crowd. No NFL playoff games for excuses today....I grade them a D......ok apologist, have at it.

Face it a 1 PM start after Sat night is way too early to over come a huge arse hangover. The entire crowd looked weak. WE need to beat Memphis with reckless abandon. WE need to convince people we are fro real going down the stretch. Losing to UConn, Temple, Houston and Tulsa at home really hurts fan confidence.

I think the sections next to the band were blocked out for the athletes honored at HT and they were late to arrive and all left at half time so that area was empty most of the game.

When you play a very bad team that no one is excited about and win or lose your post season fate is sealed, these things happen. Not being an apologist, just stating a fact.

Yeah, I pointed that out. Thought that was pretty friggin sorry, for those teams honored....to show up just in time to get to get their ovation....and then leave immediately afterwards.

crowd turnout and enthusiasm was predictable and consistent with how SMU fans have responded for years. I expect similar for Tulane and only question is whether a good crowd will turn out for the rematch with UConn. Might depend on whether we still have a shot at regular season title

I would expect a strong crowd for UCONN because it's a name team and its the last game of the season so I would think people want to say bye to Nic and the seniors.

Tulane will be better since they are slightly better known, and it is a 2:00 not a 1:00 game. Also next to last game so folks will be a bit more into it. ECU is not good and nobody cares about them. Sorry - its just the facts.
UConn will be off the hook. Y'all think every game should be nuts and it is just not realistic. Nobody has it every game - Nobody.

The team should have held up their end of the bargain and won at UCONN on Thursday night. It's a two-way street. Don't complain about the students if the team can't hold up their end of the bargain.

You have a lot of competition but that might be the dumbest post ever on PFs.

I don't think the regular season title has anything to do with the enthusiasm level, its all about the opponent right now. If we were playing for post season seeding then today would have been MUCH better, but we aren't. Regular season title would be nice, but not really that exciting. Tulane might be a little better but I wouldn't bet on it, and UCONN will be rocking because they are UCONN.

The MOB has not been the same since that first year in new Moody.
