He can finally jump more than 3". Seriously. That ankle was way worse than we were made know of.

Could tell by the picture he posted. He has been gutting it out. Glad to see him getting better

LB kept saying how bad the ankle was. That he shouldn't be playing. The ankle was way worse than we were willing to accept, so we just ripped on him for losing weight.

Yep, said this before all about his ankle, not his weight. He has been clutch for us in the last several games.

I agree.

It's great to see him contribute a bit more regularly.

And what class to just Pony Up and take the post season ban AND the ankle and NOT use them as excuses or whine about them.

I'll miss Markus. He's meant so much to the rise of Mustang hoops.

He and Nic are just plain old fashioned tough players. The kind you hate to play against cause they will tough it out and go right at you no matter what. We will lose some tough next year unless someone coming in is meaner than I think.

I agree we will lose toughness with Nic and MK gone but Sterling might be the quietest tough guy ever - he doesn't backdown from anyone and will mix it up when needed. He will set the tone next season.

Is sterling that quiet about being tough? It seems to me that he has been the toughest and most physical player on the team since the day he got here.

He was absolutely fantastic after the game. Posed for pictures with lots of kids after the game. Lots of happy kids and parents.

Maybe I worded that poorly. I mean he isn't a big talker, and I've never noticed him being the guy who starts anything but as soon as an opposing player crosses the line, he is the first guy to confront them. He is not going to backdown from the other team's tough guy, ever. I absolutely love that about him and I know LB and his teammates do too.

That makes sense. I think it was the recent Memphis game where the players were walking to the bench for a timeout and a Memphis player accidentally tripped Sterling by barely kicking his heel as they crossed paths. Sterling whipped around and got in the (very surprised) guy's face. Double technical. He plays with an edge for sure.

I agree, and I remember that. He is a tough guy but not in a troublemaker kind of way. He's the type of guy every player and coach wants on their team.

Personally I think he is a tough guy in a trouble maker way. He has been thrown out once (and yes it was bogus),T'd up once or twice and on the verge several times. He is in my top 3 favorites but hopefully he will learn to control as Nic did this year. I do not want to lose him in a game next year.
