I didn't realize that if we beat UConn, we are assured of at least a share of the reg season title.

Both us and Temple have 4 losses.

Temple to ECU, Memphis, Tulsa and Coogs

SMU to UConn, Temple, Tulsa and Coogs

If we win out, we are assured Co-Champs as head-to-head record only determines tourney ranking.

Memphis beats Temple and we win out and we are outright champs.

I believe the statement in the clip was if we beat UConn we are assured of co-championship. That is only true if Temple loses. If we win out, yes we are assured of at least co-championship.
