All year long you battled odds against you. One after another they came at you. And like champions, you fought through. Whether we hang a banner or not this year, this team will always be special because of the way you handled the adversity. You represented SMU, Dallas and all of us, with dignity, courage and pride. We will never forget that. From the bottom of my heart, I thank all of you, the coaches and staff. Pony Up!!!! Our future has never been brighter!

Agreed. Also, they put smu on the map for millenials nationwide.

This is our most important group of seniors in any SMU athletic program for the past 30 years. Going to miss not seeing them play next year, but the legacy they started will live on.

It was really moving to see the undergrad players on the team giving hugs to the three seniors after the game. Those three are going to be sorely missed.

this team was fun to follow and they posted some impressive stats. They shot almost 50% from the floor (.497) and hit 42% of their three pointers. That's almost 10 percentage points better than our opponents in both categories. They were plus 10 per game in rebounding advantage and as a team had a 1.4:1 assist:turnover ratio. That's better than some teams' PG will average for a season. And finally...although this one has an asterisk...w had 6 guys average double figures scoring (Keith was one of those guys so not sure we could have sustained all 6 for a full season).
