Out of title contention and coming off a bad loss to Houston, their students and fans, managed to pack a 13,176 seat arena.... at noon on a Sunday.

Yeah, I've got a lot of respect for Cincy. Great program with lots of tradition that always gives us a tough, tough time.

It was somewhat of a do or die situation for Cincinnati to beat us in order to have a better shot at making the NCAA tournament (outside of a Conference tournament championship). SMU might be the best RPI win on their schedule. So I would say it was an important game for them.

It was also their senior day and they honored Oscar Robertson, so they has some good reasons to be there. Plus, it is nice to know that SMU is now a draw for our opponents.

Basically every meaningful home game in February has been a sellout for the last 6 years.

Might want to check that before you post. We have the Internet in Dallas. I just looked at your conference home games in the past two years. Only two of eight were sellouts (SMU and UConn) in Feb/March. I listed all because I figured every home conference game in Feb/March is meaningful.

3/6/16 vs. SMU - 13,176 (sellout)
2/20/16 vs. UConn - 13,176 (sellout)
2/13/16 vs. ECU - 12,513
2/4/16 vs. USF - 9,116

3/6/15 vs. Memphis - 12,358
2/25/15 vs. UCF - 9,825
2/14/15 vs. Tulane - 12,041
2/7/15 vs. USF - 11,670

Looks like he was right. The only RPI building games were UConn and SMU which as he said were sold out.

You're wrong. He didn't say RPI building games he said meaningful games. For a team on the bubble, every game in Feb/March is meaningful. If you lose to UCF or ECU you're out. An educated fanbase knows that. BTW, I'm still looking forward to your further explanation of the Shska Smart predicament.

I would think RPI building games would be meaningful games. The other games were gimme type games imo. But whatever. Looks like Smart is safe for now. I hope you are right and he is still there 3 or 4 years from now.

Okay, so by your definition a "gimme" game or a game you should win is therefore not meaningful. Interesting. As for Smart, I never said anything to be right about. You claimed he was on the hot seat before ever coaching a game because he shared a common trait with Strong, which is absurd.

Okay you win. I just thought Smart would have not have a good season. But it is not absurd because when Strong was hired he was on the hot seat from game one. And if he does not do well next year he will be on the hot seat. 19-11 is not exactly tearing it up.
